Today I de-staged a home that went under contract within 2 weeks of hitting the market (and now my office looks like a Home Goods Store)! This fun project got me thinking, so I looked into some statistics and here is what I came up with:
Did you know? Homes that are professionally staged sell faster and for more money! According to Home Advisor, staged homes spend 33-50% less time on the market. The National Association of Realtors say 23% of seller’s agents report staging increased offers by up to 5%, 18% of seller’s agents report staging increased offers by 6 – 10%, and 6% of seller’s agents report staging increased offers 11 – 15%! A 2020 statistic from the Real Estate Staging Association showed that 85% of staged homes sold 5 – 23$ above list price! All that together says ‘staged homes sell quicker and for higher prices’
