Super-Moms Only

Time to Enjoy Where You Are

If you’re balancing kids, career, and running a household, you are officially a “Super-Mom”! At SAS we get it! Don’t let the juggling act of all these responsibilities overwhelm you or affect your ability to take care of yourself; we could all use a hand. By helping you tackle the ‘to-do list’, it’s our mission to give you back your time so that you can enjoy where you are.

Picture this: It’s a weekday morning during the school year. You’re rushing to get yourself and the kids ready and out of the house before anyone is late. There are clothes, dishes, and other items laying out but there’s just no time to deal with that. You managed to get a load of laundry started, but you are making yourself a mental note to not forget to switch it to the dryer when you get back home from work. Grabbing your travel mug of much needed caffeine, you usher everyone out of the door and start loading up the car (noting the piles of items you have in there to be dropped at various locations around town somehow during the day). Finally, you make it to work, only 5 minutes late today (score!). All the household management tasks that were taking up your headspace are suddenly gone as you become enthralled in putting out fires at work. Before you know it, the workday is over, and you are STARVING (probably forgot to eat lunch again), which reminds you that you didn’t sit anything out for dinner; ugh, now you have to figure out what you can make before the kids and husband start asking “what’s for dinner?” You get in the car to the reminder that you never did those personal errands around town, so the piles will be there another day. Finally, you’re back home and can relax…. until you walk inside and are greeted with all those chores that you left this morning. Shocking, that didn’t magically get taken care of while you were gone today! Relaxing is a distant dream; you are now consumed with cleaning up and making dinner and making sure this kid gets to practice, and you remember to pick up the other one from tutoring. Eventually everyone is back home for the evening, dinner is consumed, and you’ve managed to clean up. You’re just thinking about sitting down when you remember the clothes in the washer!!! Once you switch that, you realize it’s time to start getting kids ready for bed; it’s time to start the bathroom drill-sergeant routine (this one in for teeth, that one needs a bath, clean up the towels, “don’t forget deodorant”, etc…). Shew wee, the kids are in bed and you’re exhausted. You get a shower and decide that “me time” will have to wait until tomorrow, because you’re going to bed too. Now you fall asleep thinking of all the things that need to be done tomorrow; you reach over and up the alarm another half hour, hoping that will magically be the answer that gets things done. Sound familiar???

Now imagine this: You’re rushing to get everyone out of the house (let’s keep it real, mornings with kids are what they are), but you aren’t worried about all those piles, and you aren’t overwhelmed wondering how you’ll get errands run, because today your concierge is scheduled to come! For the last several days, when a task pops up in your mind to be done, you have written it down on a list (a brain-dump if you will). Last night you numbered your list to indicate the priority with which each item’s completion stands in importance to you. Your car isn’t full of boxes and envelopes to be dropped around. At work you can focus without worry about what’s not being accomplished at home. Meanwhile, your concierge has arrived at your home and checked your list, the laundry was switched to the dryer, dinner was started in the crockpot, all the dishes, clothing, and ‘stuff’ was tidied up and your home’s living space is now in-order; the drop-offs around town are completed (including dropping lunch by your office!). When you return home from the day, you are greeted by the smell of dinner and relaxed to see that the whirlwind of the morning activities is no longer evident. Between practice drop off and tutoring pickup you get your workout in! The laundry pops into your mind… but you can breathe easy because you remember that your concierge took care of that. Dinner includes some nice conversations with the family about the day; you’re so much more relaxed without the stress of an undone to-do list weighing you down. Bedtime routine passes and you decide to enjoy a bubble bath, where you can read a chapter or two with a glass of wine to unwind and relax. Getting into bed just feels better after a day when so much was accomplished, and you had time for you. Looking forward to tomorrow, you fall asleep.

If you feel like you are on the hamster wheel of mom life, it may be time to ask for help. That’s where SAS comes in. Once you decide to take back your time, here is how it works:

1.) Contact SAS to get on the client list and pick your membership level (4, 8, and 12 hours per month are the standard membership levels)

2.) Schedule your concierge. You can pick a standing day/time block to evenly divide your hours or schedule as needed throughout the month.

3.) Brain dump your to-do list and number on the side to indicate the prioritization of the tasks on the list.

4.) Your concierge will come for the schedule block of time and get as many tasks done as possible while they are there, starting with the highest priority task on your list.

That’s it! You just enjoy the accomplishment of tasks being completed while you got time back for yourself to spend on what matters to you.  Need to hear more?  Check out this VIDEO for an explanation from our owner.
